Donaldson's iCue connected filtration service remotely monitors industrial
dust collectors. Available by subscription, the service sends real-time
maintenance alerts and performance data to facility management teams via
email, status reports, and online dashboard. Depending on facility needs,
the solution monitors differential pressure, relative air flow, compressed air
pressure, particulate matter trends, and hopper status-information that can
help teams troubleshoot issues earlier, improve production uptime, and
assist with regulatory compliance reporting. The compact iCue hardware
and cellular data connection are simple to install, don't require IT network
integration, and are compatible with major dust collector brands. A
Donaldson survey found the average dust collector is 11 years old, and that
63% of operations would have to shut down during an equipment failure.
With a frequent labor gap, monitoring equipment automatically can help
improve operation uptime and reduce total ownership costs. One facility
that handled sticky material experienced frequent hopper plugging and dust
back-up, which required two hours per incident to resolve. With
Donaldson's iCue service, the issue is now identified before it escalates,
reducing maintenance time to 15 minutes and saving an estimated $5,899
per incident.
