Jack Osborn  (Senior Project Engineer, Airdusco Engineering and Design Services, LLC)

Location: Room 3

Date: Thursday, October 8

Time: 10:15am - 11:45am

Track: Track C: Dust Collection & Safety

Proper hood design is critical for a dust collection system to actually control dust emissions. You may have the best equipment, proper ducting arrangements, and sufficient fan performance, but it is all worthless if the hoods do not actually control the dust emissions. This presentation will go through proven methods for assuring your hoods will accomplish the desired task and the relationship between proper design of those hoods and the ducting system that connects them to the dust collector.
